Leesburg Regional Medical Center (LRMC) will observe National Healthcare Volunteer Week April 23 – 29, by honoring its volunteers – a dedicated group of over 200 people who have a crucial impact not just on our patients, but on our hospital. Since 1963, volunteers have given over 3,309,338 hours of service at LRMC.
“Most volunteers say there is nothing better than knowing they have helped someone in need,” says Jennifer Woods, Volunteer Coordinator at LRMC. “It doesn’t matter if a volunteer commits to an hour or four hours; it makes a difference to the ones who are being helped. Thank you, all of you, for your dedication and commitment to Leesburg Regional Medical Center. You are the best of the best.”
LRMC is in need of more volunteers to join its Auxiliary. As a volunteer, you’ll meet new people, make lasting friendships, and learn new skills. The hospital has an immediate need for volunteers for the front lobby information desks, gift shop, courtesy shuttle drivers, emergency room, thrift shop, patient representatives and much more.
Volunteers should be friendly, personable, and at-ease interacting with the public. For additional information, stop by the West Lobby of LRMC at 600 East Dixie Avenue in Leesburg or contact the Volunteer Coordinator at (352) 323-5062 or email email@example.com.
